Posthumous work

Supermundane

Надземное

Helena Roerich en Naggar, hacia 1940
byHelena Roerich

The fourteenth and last book of the series, completed in 1938 and published posthumously. It presents itself as a conversation on the 'supermundane'—the life of the subtle worlds and the 'abode' of the masters—and contains recollections attributed to the Master himself on the life of the Brotherhood, together with reflections on energy as the foundation of existence. The Agni Yoga Society published it in English in 1994, in several volumes.

Authorship note

The Agni Yoga tradition attributes the text to the Mahatma Morya, the 'Master' among the Mahatmas of Theosophy, and presents Helena Roerich as its recipient and recorder: she said she received the paragraphs by 'clairaudience' and noted them in her notebooks, from which each book was selected and arranged with the family's collaboration. The book was published without an author's name. For historical scholarship (Andreyev, 2014) it is the work of Helena Roerich and her circle; legally, copyright is reckoned from Helena's death (1955). The manuscript, of 955 paragraphs, was completed in 1938 and not published until the early 1990s.
