Leaves of Morya's Garden I: The Call

Листы Сада Мории. Зов

Helena Roerich en Naggar, hacia 1940
byHelena Roerich

The first book of the series: short aphorisms, sometimes verses, in which a voice presenting itself as the Master calls the disciple, demands discipline, joy and labour, and announces a new epoch. Its form—fragments dated between 1920 and 1923—bears the trace of the family sessions. The Russian original opens with 'To the New Russia, my first message'; the Agni Yoga Society's English translation reads 'Into the New World'.

Authorship note

Like the other Agni Yoga books, tradition attributes it to the Mahatma Morya. The messages of the early years (1920–1923) came largely from the family sessions in London and New York, in which Nicholas and George Roerich did most of the writing; Helena selected and arranged them. Published without an author's name; scholarship (Andreyev, 2014) regards it as the work of the family circle, with Helena as principal editor.
