On Life according to Nature
Written work
On Life according to Nature
Περὶ τοῦ κατὰ φύσιν βίου

A lost ethical treatise whose title states the core of Stoic ethics: man's end is to live in agreement with nature, which for a rational being coincides with living according to reason and virtue. No explicit quotation from this work survives; its content is inferred from the doctrine the sources attribute to Zeno.
No edition of this work is currently on sale in a store we have been able to verify.
Authorship note
Lost work. Only the title survives, in Diogenes Laertius' list (VII 4), and in some cases indirect testimonies.
