Branching Streams Flow in the Darkness: Zen Talks on the Sandokai

A series of talks Suzuki gave at Tassajara in 1970 commenting on the Sandōkai, the Chinese poem by master Shitou Xiqian (8th century) on the identity of the absolute and the relative, chanted daily in Sōtō temples. Edited by Mel Weitsman and Michael Wenger, they show him as a commentator on texts and his way of grounding the doctrine of non-duality in everyday practice.
