Violators of Art

Violators of Art

A pamphlet published in London in 1919 against the destruction of artistic heritage during the Russian revolution and civil war. It is one of his most openly political and anti-Bolshevik texts, written when Roerich feared the new Russia would destroy churches, museums and collections; it contrasts with his later rapprochement with the Soviet authorities.
