Himavat: Diary Leaves
A collection of short essays written in Kullu in the 1930s and 1940s, published in Allahabad by Kitabistan. It speaks of the Himalayas, pilgrims and local legends, culture and education, Indian and Russian art, and figures the author admired. It is a good sample of the genre Roerich practised almost daily in his last decade: the diary page turned into public meditation.
