Himalayas — Abode of Light

The last book published in Roerich's lifetime, in Bombay, a few months before his death. It gathers essays on the Himalayas as the abode of the rishis and the Pandavas, on pilgrimage, beauty as a moral force and the hidden treasures of mountain legends. Its tone is that of a testament: the mountain as an image of the ascent of the spirit.
