On the End
Περὶ τέλους

A lost ethical treatise on the ultimate end of life. Diogenes Laertius (X 6) and Athenaeus quote from it a sentence much exploited by his opponents: he could not conceive the good if he took away the pleasures of taste, of love, of hearing and of beautiful forms. Laertius also lists it among the works containing the ethics (X 30).

Authorship note
Lost work. Only the title survives, which Diogenes Laertius (X 27–28) includes among Epicurus' "best" writings.
