Vasiṣṭha Smṛti
वसिष्ठस्मृति (Vasiṣṭhasmṛti)

One of the minor smṛtis circulating under Vasiṣṭha's name, preserved in the collections of dharma texts. It gathers ritual and behavioural rules, and shows how the prestige of the Vedic sage served to legitimise codes of later periods.

Authorship note
A normative compilation in verse ascribed to Vasiṣṭha, distinct from the prose dharmasūtra; of uncertain date. The attribution is traditional.
