Written work

The Psychology of Dementia Praecox

Über die Psychologie der Dementia praecox

C. G. Jung en Küsnacht, 1955
byCarl Gustav Jung

A monograph applying the association experiment and Freud's ideas to schizophrenia, then called dementia praecox. It argues that the apparently absurd symptoms make sense when understood as expressions of emotional complexes, and even proposes a toxin produced by the complex. With it Jung made himself known to Freud and to international psychiatry. Included in GW/CW 3.
