Aion: Researches into the Phenomenology of the Self
Aion: Untersuchungen zur Symbolgeschichte

A study of the figure of Christ as a symbol of the Self and of its counterpart, the Antichrist, within the astrological 'aeon' of Pisces. The opening chapters offer his most precise definitions of ego, shadow, syzygy (anima and animus) and Self; the following ones survey the symbolism of the fish, Gnosticism and alchemy. GW/CW 9/II.
