Views from the Real World

A collection of talks given in Moscow, Essentuki, Tiflis, Berlin, London, Paris, New York and Chicago. It is the best gateway to the oral teaching: body, essence and personality, attention, sensation, the centres, group work. The hand of the transcribers is visible, which is why it is best read alongside Ouspensky's Fragments.

Authorship note
Talks from 1914–1931 reconstructed from memory by pupils and assembled by Olga de Hartmann; it includes the text 'Glimpses of Truth' (1914) and the aphorisms of the Prieuré Study House. Not Gurdjieff's text in the strict sense.
