The 'Long Scroll': Dunhuang Compilation around the Two Entrances

二入四行論長卷子

Huike ofrece su brazo a Bodhidharma, de Sesshū Tōyō (1496)
byBodhidharma

A compilation found among the Dunhuang manuscripts that gathers, after the two-entrances treatise, letters, dialogues and sayings of the first masters of Bodhidharma's and Huike's circle. It is the oldest surviving collection of 'Chan' material and shows the question-and-answer style that would later characterise the school.
