Gems from the East

Helena Blavatsky

A small book of aphorisms arranged by the days of the year, with sayings attributed to Buddhist, Hindu, Persian and Chinese texts, illustrated by F. Montague Brown. A minor work, but revealing of the wish to popularise Eastern ethics among Victorian readers.
