Es steht nicht im Werk von Dōgen
Widely circulated online as a quotation from Dōgen. It has not been located in that form in the Shōbōgenzō or the Eihei kōroku; it seems a free paraphrase of ideas from "Genjōkōan" or the Fukanzazengi ("why leave your own seat to wander in the dusty lands of other countries?").
