One of the oldest and most coherent Purāṇas, in six parts: creation, the geography of the cosmos, the Manus and the Vyāsas —with the list of the twenty-eight who divided the Veda—, the royal dynasties, the life of Kṛṣṇa and the dissolution of the world. H. H. Wilson translated it into English in 1840 and M. N. Dutt published a version based on his in 1894.
