A Rule of Attention to Oneself for Those Living in the World

A short rule of life for laypeople included in the Experiences: 'the soul of all exercises in the Lord is attention'; moderation in food, morning prayer done with attention rather than quantity, reading the Gospel to direct one's visible and invisible activity, and examining the day. It is one of his most read texts outside monasteries.
