On Piety

Περὶ ὁσιότητος

Cabeza de Epicuro (Metropolitan Museum)
byEpicurus

A lost treatise on the right religious attitude. Laertius says that Epicurus' piety towards the gods was beyond words (X 10); his late follower Philodemus wrote a work of the same title, partly preserved at Herculaneum, which offers a glimpse of its arguments.
