Qit'as (fragments)
Written work
Qit'as (fragments)
قطعات (Qet'at)

Short occasional pieces, the Persian form for topical verse: elegies, requests for a stipend, chronograms whose letters add up to the year of an event, and the famous *qit'a* of the 'five notables' who made Fars prosper under Abu Ishaq. Being less conventional than the ghazal, they are considered the most direct testimony to real events of his life, such as the death of a child.
