Three Speeches in Memory of Dostoevsky

Три речи в память Достоевского

Retrato de Vladímir Soloviov, por Nikolái Yaroshenko
byVladimir Solovyov

Three lectures given in 1881, 1882 and 1883 on the anniversaries of the novelist's death and published together in 1884. Solovyov presents Dostoevsky not as a psychologist or social novelist but as a religious prophet of the universal Church and of Godmanhood; a decisive reading that shaped all later Russian reception of the writer.
