Ennead V.3 [49]: On the knowing hypostases and that which is beyond

Plotinus

One of his deepest analyses of self-knowledge: only Intellect fully knows itself, because in it thinker and thought coincide. The One, beyond knowledge, does not think; to see it one must strip away everything: "Take away everything".
