Hundreds of sayings grouped by subject—God with and without form, the harmony of religions, the devotee’s life in the world, the spiritual teacher, renunciation. It is the form in which Ramakrishna has circulated most widely in bookshops: short sentences detached from the scenes of the Kathamrita, gaining clarity and losing context.
