Initiation, Human and Solar

Alice A. Bailey en la década de 1940
byAlice A. Bailey

An account of the Hierarchy of masters that, in Theosophy, guides human evolution, and of the five initiations through which the disciple is said to pass. It describes the organisation of that Hierarchy, the role of the Lords of the Flame and the meaning of solar initiation. It is the classic entry point to Bailey's corpus.

Authorship note

Attributed by Alice A. Bailey to 'the Tibetan' (Djwhal Khul), whose telepathic dictation she said she received and transcribed; the Lucis Trust edition publishes it under Bailey's name, prefaced by the 'Extract from a Statement by the Tibetan'. Actual authorship cannot be verified: historians treat it as Bailey's work. It is the first book of the dictation, begun in November 1919; its first chapters appeared in The Theosophist.
