byUddalaka Aruni

Citra Gāṅgyāyani chooses Āruṇi as priest for a sacrifice; Āruṇi sends his son Śvetaketu in his place, and the king asks him about the path that leads to the other world. Śvetaketu cannot answer, and father and son go to Citra as pupils, firewood in hand. The king teaches them the journey of the dead along the path of the gods to the world of brahman.
