The first book he signed with his name (Amsterdam, 1768). It holds that true love between a man and a woman is the union of wisdom and love, that it continues after death and that spouses who live it form a single angel in heaven. The second part deals with adultery and disordered sexuality. Swedenborg, who never married, inserts here his most elaborate 'memorable relations'.
