Principles of Cartesian Philosophy

Renati Des Cartes Principiorum philosophiae pars I et II, more geometrico demonstratae

Retrato anónimo de Spinoza (Wolfenbüttel)
byBaruch Spinoza

A reformulation in geometrical order of the first two parts of Descartes' Principia philosophiae, born of lessons he gave a young student at Rijnsburg and written, by his account, in two weeks. It made his name as a rigorous expositor of Cartesianism and let him rehearse the demonstrative method of the Ethics, though Meyer's preface warns that he dissents from Descartes on essential points such as free will.
