Critique of Abstract Principles
Критика отвлечённых начал

Doctoral thesis, defended on 6 April 1880. It examines the abstract principles of ethics, society and knowledge — hedonism, utilitarianism, abstract right, empiricism, rationalism — and shows that each, cut off from the whole, becomes false; only in all-unity, in 'integral knowledge', do they recover their truth. It is the most technical exposition of his early system.
