Spiritual commentary on the Bhagavad Gita
Srimad Bhagavad Gita (comentario espiritual, bengalí)

A reading of the *Bhagavad Gita* as an allegory of kriya yoga practice, in the line begun by Lahiri Mahasaya: the poem's characters and battles are interpreted as forces and states of the practitioner's consciousness. It is the text that best shows the technical Sri Yukteswar, the meditation teacher, as against the literary character of *Autobiography of a Yogi*. Yogananda said his master encouraged him to give his own interpretation of the *Gita*, the distant origin of *God Talks with Arjuna*.

Authorship note
Commentary in Bengali, date not established; the *Amrita Bazar Patrika* obituary (1936) already mentions his interpretations of the *Gita*. Some sources say it covers only the first chapters; Yoga Niketan translated it into English and published it together with Lahiri Mahasaya's commentary in 2004.
