Advice from the Lotus-Born (Zhal gdams)
པདམ་འབྱུང་གནས་ཀྱི་ཞལ་གདམས། (padma 'byung gnas kyi zhal gdams)

An anthology of oral advice (zhal gdams) attributed to Padmasambhava, drawn from various treasures, on impermanence, karma, solitary practice and the Great Perfection. It represents the genre of 'words of the master' that Tibetan tradition preserves in quantity.

Authorship note
A 'treasure' text (gter ma): Nyingma tradition holds that Padmasambhava taught it in the eighth century, that Yeshe Tsogyal wrote it down in code and that it was hidden to be revealed centuries later by a discoverer (gter ston). For historical criticism it is a composition from the revealer's period.
