A severe review of Florensky's The Pillar and Ground of the Truth in Russkaya mysl': Berdyaev reproaches it for an archaising aestheticism, an Orthodoxy of style, magic and fear of freedom, and a sophiology that dissolves the person. It is the central document of his estrangement from Florensky.
