Laozi के नाम से प्रचलित

«Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.»

ग़लत श्रेय

निष्कर्ष

यह Laozi की रचनाओं में नहीं है

Attributed indiscriminately to Laozi, Confucius or a "Chinese proverb". It is found neither in the Daodejing nor in the Analects; its modern form is first documented in English in Anne Isabella Thackeray Ritchie's novel Mrs. Dymond (1885).
