Doorkeeper of the Heart: Versions of Rabi'a
Doorkeeper of the Heart: Versions of Rabi'a (Charles Upton)
A short anthology of poems and stories attributed to Rabia in modern poetic versions, widely reproduced online and in spiritual anthologies. It is the main vehicle of Rabia's contemporary image in English and, at the same time, of many unsourced attributions.

Authorship note
Free English versions by Charles Upton based on earlier translations; they are not philological translations and mix sayings from different periods. They popularised poems such as "the torch and the bucket", which has no known Arabic original as a poem.
