Written work
Kaivalyapāda (Chapter on Isolation)
कैवल्यपाद (Kaivalyapāda)

It deals with the origin of powers, latent impressions and karma, defends against the idealists the reality of objects independent of the mind, and culminates in isolation (kaivalya): when the qualities of nature have fulfilled their purpose they are reabsorbed, and consciousness stands established in its own form.

Authorship note
Fourth chapter of the Yogasūtra (34 aphorisms). Aphorisms 4.14–21 argue against an idealist doctrine that Woods identified with Buddhist vijñānavāda, a key argument for dating the work.
