Ennead IV.5 [29]: Problems of the soul, III, or on sight

Plotinus

It examines whether sight needs a medium, such as air or light, and concludes that perception at a distance is explained by sympathy between the parts of a single living being, the universe. It also studies the nature of light and of hearing.
