Attributed to Śāntideva

«If a problem can be solved, why worry? If it cannot be solved, worrying will do no good.»

Misattributed

Verdict

It is not in Śāntideva's work

It is authentic Śāntideva (Bodhicaryāvatāra 6.10), but circulates massively attributed to the Dalai Lama or the Buddha by quotation sites; it is recorded here to correct the attribution, not the quotation.
